Insight Dementia Solutions (IDS): The Journey So Far
I have worked with dementia and general aging issues personally and professionally for over 15 years. My Granny is my inspiration for IDS. When I became a caregiver to her I knew nothing about dementia and had to learn to navigate these challenges largely on my own, I had to learn much of what you are learning. These experiences set me on the path to earn my Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) at the University of Denver, to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and to start IDS. I seek to share what I learned on my journey and support you on yours.
IDS Philosophy
Rooted in social work values and ethics honoring self-determination, dignity and worth of person, and the importance of human relationships. From our challenges and obstacles come opportunities to grow and hope; social work is a "profession of hope". Each person has strengths and abilities that IDS strives to foster through a collaborative approach. I honor and promote service and respect with integrity.
